ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Urban Art Projects approaches environmental responsibilities with a vision for the immediate and long term futures. We see ecological sustainability, social responsibility and environmental protection as critical components of our business and undertake to share these values with our clients, partners, contractors and suppliers.
Combining sustainable values with real action and intelligent design, our vision is to become sustainability leaders in our industry by operating for best environmental practice and creating opportunities for positive change approaching each project with environmental integrity at every step. UAP has been a Carbon Managed company since July 2007 and is aiming to attain ISO14001 accreditation in 2011.
INTEGRATED ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT STRATEGY
At UAP we address sustainability from both a ‘Ground Up’ and a ‘Top Down’ approach. These two distinct but compatible approaches work mutually to keep each other in check. From the ‘Ground Up’ we use a project by project approach with a view to environmental integrity at each step. From the ‘Top Down’ we operate under an umbrella Environmental Management System that informs, and in response is informed by, our project approach. This strategy will become our platform for ISO 14001 Accreditation.
