Embracing Brisbane’s growing cosmopolitan profile, hotel operator Anthony John Group teamed with Urban Art Projects in a suite of artworks for their boutique Emporium Hotel. The signature piece, an extraordinary cast bronze sculptural reception desk, dominates the lobby. A collection of filigree screens line the walls of the lobby inspired by the canopy of frangipani trees, a tropical blossom abundant in the area. UAP also designed the entry awning, decorative doors and screens for the restaurant & bar and a collection of more intimate works for the guest floor lift lobbies.
