Above ground - class 1, life expectancy > 40 years
In ground - class 2, life expectancy 15 to 25 years

DENSITY
1010kg/m3 at 12% moisture content; approximately 1.0m3 of seasoned sawn timber per tonne

STRENGTH GROUPS
S2 unseasoned, SD2 seasoned

STRESS GRADES
F11, F14, F17, F22 (unseasoned), F17, F22, F27, F34 (seasoned), when visually stress graded in accordance with AS2082-1979, 'Visually stress-graded hardwoods for structural purposes'

HARDNESS
Very hard (rating 1 on a 6 class scale) in relation to indentation and ease of working with hand tools

USAGE
Heavy engineering, railway sleepers, poles & posts, finer sawn timber products, firewood, furniture

TERMITE RESISTANCE
Resistant to Australian Standards (AS 3660)

SEASONING
Can be satisfactorily dried using conventional air and kiln seasoning methods

Standard fittings and fastenings suitable
