Urban Art
Projects (UAP) designs and fabricates site-specific artwork and custom street
furniture for architectural and landscape environments.
UAP has its own foundry specializing in metal works (bronze and aluminium), timber and mosaic. Our foundry workers are experienced in a vast array of projects, from editioned artwork to large-scale installations. Their collaboration with the artist/designer proves invaluable. They adept steer the fabrications of a piece, from pattern making to casting type to assembly, ensuring the creative intent is realized. Workshop supervisor, Chris Nagle, leads a team of 15 talents and diverse tradesmen.
Moreover, UAP enjoys a renowned mosaic practice including commissions: National Suffrage Fountain, Brisbane International Airport and a private commission for Rupert Murdoch’s Sydney residence. Mary Stuart directs the mosaic division.
We ensure the artwork outcome supports and enhances the development's design aesthetic by working with clients to source artists for project teams and by managing the design process through concept, documentation and installation.
UAP offers a unique turn-key approach for the commissioning of large-scale artworks providing a low-risk solution for the client.
