Chris Nagle is Workshop Supervisor at Urban Art Projects. He began his career
in foundry work in 1993 as an apprentice with highly respected sculptor, Bodo Muche,
developing skills in sand moulding, casting and patination. Chris joined UAP in 1995 and
was key in establishing the bronze and aluminium practices of the workshop including the
implementation of ceramic shell and sand casting processes. Chris is responsible for the
development of the workshop and its facilities including quality control, workshop logistics
and staffing requirements. Notable commissions Chris has overseen and delivered throughout
his tenure at UAP include: Walama Forecourt at Sydney International Airport; Brook
Andrew's ANP for Queensland Museum and most recently, Brisbane Magistrates Court with artists
Judy Watson and Fiona Foley. Chris works closely with commissioned artists and designers to
realise their vision.
